Upnor 2009
The 'Last of the Summer
Whine' lads
found themselves in Upnor with Roger
explaining the history of the castle etc.
They arrived at a pub down by the river
and chatted briefly with a gentleman
in front of the pub.
He then entered the pub through a private
door and the lads crossed to the main
entrance and Colin led them in.
A female voice affectionately greeted
him with the words 'Hello Darling'
and he immediately replied 'Well - Hello'.
The vivacious barmaid had been talking
to her partner who had entered
via the private door.
She blushed profusely and we all
dissolved into fits of laughter. We laughed
our way through a delightful meal in the
most quirky pub we have been in lately.

David's birthday cake.
It is not every retired bank manager
who can boast a birthday cake of this quality.
Six iced buns complete with lighted candles
proved to be exactly what he wanted.
