 Open Mixed Triples Tournament

Details of the tournament

Winners:        £40.00 each
Runners up:   £20.00 each

The overall winners will be presented with the trophy and receive a prize each

Entry fee £8.00 each player - which will include lunch ( vegetarian  meals are available, but must be requested on the return sheet )  Liquid and dry refreshments will be available all day.

Each team will play two sessions, either at 9.30 am and 2.00 pm or at 11.45 am and 4.15 pm
Competitors are requested to report 30 minutes before they are due to commence play.
Players will be advised of the times of their matches when the club has received and processed their application.

Whites will be worn for all matches - but club shirts may be worn.

Games will consist of 18 ends or 2 hours duration, whichever is reached first.. One trial end will be allowed and a bell will be rung to signal the start of play and will be rung again 5 minutes before the end of play. No jack may be delivered after the bell has been rung to end play.

Points will be awarded on the following basis:  3 points for winning the session ( in the event of a tied game the 3 points will be shared) and 1 point for each END won during the session.

In the event of teams with the same number of points at the end of the day's play then a count back system will be introduced, and will be based on the highest number of wins on the last six ends of the last session played. If we are still unable to find a winner then another 3 ends will be counted.

 The umpires decision shall be final in all queries.

Trophy winners. Based on instruction from our insurers, the winners will be required to leave the trophy at Loose Bowls Club.

The closing date for entries will be Monday 9th August 2010.
